DeLancy "Stump" Parcher passed away at home on July 24, 2017. He was born October 15, 1923 in Los Angeles, CA to Joe and Treva (Gilbert) Parcher. He graduated from Ferndale High School in 1940. He served in the Korean War before his career in commercial spraying, truck driving and crop farming. Stump will be remembered for his love of horses, roller skating, fishing, baseball, and water skiing until the age of 80. He looked forward to lunch with his friend, Choppy.
He is survived by Mary, his wife of 58 years, his three children: Kathy, Tom (Kelli), and Dan (Tawnee). He has 8 grandchildren: Jillian, Jenna, Zachery, Paige, Kaiden, Carter, Coston, and Finley. He was pre-deceased by his son, Tim, and brother, Don. Stump was loved and will be missed.
A celebration of life will be held at Greenacres Memorial Park, 5700 Northwest Ave., Ferndale, on August 4th from 2-4 pm.
