Gene was our mailman for a number of years when we lived on "D" St. He would take our 2 kids and the neighbor's 2 kids out to McDonald's for their birthday(s) every year. At Christmas time he would give each one of the kids Storybook Lifesavers. My children are now 42 & 38. I am so sorry for your loss. Gene brought many a smile to those who were lucky enough to be on his route.
Hazel, I'm so sorry to hear that Gene has passed away. He alway added to much to our dahlia meetings. He will be missed.
May care and love of those around you provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead. My most sincere condolences.
My deepest sympathies are with your family. May God(Psalm 83:18) give you strength at this time of need, Psalm 29:11
Always remember Gene and his burger, had to get it just right. He was a good man to remember. Well be thinking of you all, God be with you .
