Moles Farewell Tributes Expands Use of Social Media

In today’s fast-paced world where everything is just a click or tap away, even the funeral home industry is adapting and changing. Moles Farewell Tributes has a history dating back to 1910, an era remarkably more slower-paced. As times change and we grow along with the community we proudly serve, we’ve expanded our social media presence. People expect to receive updates quickly, and we hope by using social media, we can foster a relationship with you and hear your thoughts about life, death and anything in between.

Reaching You Through Social Media

Moles Farewell Tributes is now on Facebook. ‘Like’ our Facebook page to keep up with the latest news, announcements and interesting articles about living your life to the fullest — mentally, physically and spiritually.

On our Facebook page, we posted news about our Green Burial site at The Meadows. Did you know that this is the first certified natural burial ground in western Washington? This means that all materials used are 100% biodegradable and that only sustainable methods and technology are employed. The goal of The Meadows is to restore it to a natural and thriving eco-system. Each family will have the opportunity to choose from a tree, shrub or flower to plant in memory of a loved one. Each native plant will contribute to the beautification and restoration of The Meadows.

Here is some of the latest news on our blogs by John Moles, fourth-generation owner, and manager of Moles Farewell Tributes:

The Use of Technology at a Funeral

Continuing with the subject of technology, tribute videos are a relatively new way to honor loved ones. While we don’t normally associate technology with a funeral, a tribute video seamlessly creates a montage of video footage and photos, essentially highlights from the life of your loved one. A professionally-made tribute video captures moments perhaps forgotten, milestones and happy events to paint a more complete and realistic portrait of your loved one. Videos can be customized with text, music and themes.

For four generations, Moles has been serving Bellingham, WA and surrounding areas with compassionate funeral and cremation services. We’ve noticed a change in the needs of customers who are looking for a more personal touch to the traditional funeral. Tribute videos are one way to add a more personal touch along with memory boards, serving favorite food and drinks, and symbolic gestures such as releasing doves.
