Obituary

Bruce W. Lower born on May 14, 1946, passed away at St. Joseph’s hospital on November 13, 2023, with his wife and daughter by his side.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eileen D. Lower, their daughter Bobbie Ashmore, her husband Doug Ashmore, his grandson Cody Byard, his sister Shelley Lowe and her husband Steve, sisters-in-laws Judy Lower and Irene Mello, and brother-in-law Ray Mosher, along with many nieces and nephews.

Bruce and his wife met in February of 1969 and soon married in August of 1969 and eventually settled in Fremont, CA in 1976 where they raised their daughter, Bobbie. In his early adult years, he became sergeant in the Air National Guard, did a stint in the grocery business working at the Piggly Wiggly, and soon moved on to banking. He began as a bank teller and slowly moved up the ladder to become CEO during his banking career. He was an extremely hard worker whether on the job or just at home working around the house.
In 1992, Bruce and Eileen made the decision to retire back in the state of Washington, purchasing property in Bellingham and began building their home together. During his retirement years, he loved to Golf, Fish, and Hunt. He also enjoyed putzing around the house or in the yard or doing little projects. He lived life to the fullest and was proud of what he built here in Bellingham.

The one thing we will always remember is his great sense of humor. Laughter is good for the soul and boy did we experience a lot.

He is pre-deceased by his mother and father Jane and Bill Lower, brother Barry Lower, mother-in-law Ruth Mosher, father-in-law Lyle Mosher, brother-in-law Larry Mosher, and sister-in-law Lavonne Mosher.

Per his wishes, there will be no services held, so please raise a glass and make a toast.
Forever in our hearts, we will miss you! Until we meet again, please keep an eye on us.
