Our Associates

For four generations, the Moles team has dedicated itself to “Caring For All Families As We Would Our Own.” Our seven core values guide us in how we relate to families, our community, and each other. Central to each value is our goal of actively listening without formulating a response, then responding in a thoughtful way.

Michael Anderson

Michael Anderson

Director of Family Services, Greenacres Memorial Park

Joining Moles in 2001, and after assisting a family suffering with the loss of a loved one, Michael realized immediately he had found his calling.  Combining a passion to serve those in need of cemetery arrangements at the worst time in their lives along with the opportunity to serve others planning their own wishes for the future; both farewell tributes (aka funeral/cremation arrangements) and memorialization (aka memorial headstones and cemetery arrangements), has proven to be the most fulfilling of career choices. Moles Farewell Tributes provides Michael with the freedom and continued encouragement to exercise degrees in business administration (MBA) and marketing to create and oversee the development of new gardens at the company’s cemetery; Greenacres Memorial Park, memorialization offerings and customized farewell tributes.  Through ongoing training and staff development Michael enjoys sharing his knowledge and years of experience to help and join his fellow team members provide every family served with the caring and professional attention they deserve and value in funeral care.

Terri Parsons

Funeral Director Assistant, Bayview Chapel

Born and raised in the picturesque city of Bellingham, I am a proud member of a generational line of Bellingham natives. My roots run deep, intertwined with the history and spirit of this vibrant community. As a child growing up in the Birchwood district, I reveled in the natural beauty that surrounded me; the towering evergreens, the salty sea breeze and the sense of belonging that only a close-knit community can provide.

Being a North-end girl, I went to Bellingham High School as did my parents and grandparents, where I forged lasting friendships and discovered my passion for connecting with people. Little did I know that this passion would shape my entire career trajectory.
My professional journey began humbly, as a young Receptionist at a local salon while I worked on my cosmetology license. I greeted clients with a warm smile, but my ambitions reached far beyond the salon doors. With determination and hard work, I climbed the corporate ladder, eventually finding myself on the 48th floor of Key Tower in downtown Seattle. A decade of financial expertise and leadership sharpened my skills, but my heart yearned for something more… a return to simplicity and a connection to my roots.
And so, I made the life-altering decision to retire and return to Bellingham. But retirement wasn’t quite the right fit for me. Fate intervened, leading me to Moles Farewell Tributes; a place that would become my sanctuary, my purpose, and my dream job. As a Funeral Director’s Administrative Assistant, I found solace in serving families during their most vulnerable moments. The love and compassion within this industry resonated deeply with me, echoing the values instilled by my family.

Speaking of family, they are the threads that weave my life’s tapestry. My mother, a steadfast Director of Funerals at her church, taught me the importance of empathy and grace. Meanwhile, my twin sister tends to the sacred grounds of Bayview Cemetery, nurturing the memories of those who rest there. Together, we form a legacy of service and reverence.

But my journey isn’t confined to funeral homes and hallowed grounds. As a seasoned hairdresser and makeup artist, I bring my creative flair to this solemn profession. And when I’m not assisting families, you’ll find me outdoors, pedaling my trusty bike along the meticulously groomed trails of Whatcom County. My faithful companion Princess Rosebud rides in her backpack, her wagging tail in reflex of the joy of exploration.

Downtown, in the heart of the arts district, I reside in a historic landmark building, a living testament to Bellingham’s rich heritage. And oh, the restaurants! Our culinary scene rivals any in the state, and I delight in sampling each delectable dish.
So here I stand, a Bellingham native, a Funeral Director’s Administrative Assistant, an artist, and an explorer. My heart swells with pride for my Home Sweet Home; the Pacific Northwest, where mountains kiss the sky, and the sea whispers its secrets.
