Obituary of Elmer Crape

Elmer was born on August 13, 1930 in Bellingham to Emil and Minnie (Elsner) Crape.

A Korean War Veteran, Elmer finished his service in the Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel.

He was an active member of First Baptist Church and worked at Georgia Pacific. Elmer's hobbies included fishing, gardening, beekeeping, and teaching defensive driving.

He is predeceased by his parents and brothers Herbert, Herman, Alfred, and Robert. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Doris (Cleveland), sons Byron (Odeen) and Daniel, and granddaughter Bria. 

A public viewing will be on Friday, May 8th from 3:00pm-4:30pm in the Chapel at Moles Greenacres.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, May 10th at 1:00pm at Greenacres Memorial Park followed by a Celebration of Elmer's Life in the chapel at 2:00pm. All are welcome to stay for a reception after the services.
