Obituary of Annette Solomon
Annette Luretta Solomon (Qweetse’ha) was born October 20, 1939 to Leo Sanchez & Clara Celestine. She passed away surrounded by loved ones at the age of 78 in Bellingham WA on May 8, 2018. Annette was a Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother. She was survived by her children James Scarborough Jr., Celeste “Ness” Jefferson, Steven, Rhonda and Kimberly Scarborough, Frank Solomon Sr., 108 Grand Children, Great Grand Children, Great Great Grandchildren, Brother Charles Sanchez and many nieces & nephews. Annette will forever be remembered as being a strong bold woman, very honest, private and independent. She had a big loving heart, a beautiful smile, and a contagious laugh that could brighten your day. Her Grandchildren will cherish the many stories she shared and the teachings to go along with them. She always told them “Be Good!” and “Be tough like me!”. Annette worked as the secretary to the Lummi Indian Business Council, was a committed Stommish Committee member and was even the Stommish Princess as a teen. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and sitting out on her front porch to admire her beautiful front yard that she took such pride in. She was known to be athletic as she was a member of the track team and loved playing baseball. Annette is preceded in death by her father Leo Sanchez, Mother Clara Celestine, Mate Jeffery Walks-on-top, Son Harold Scarborough Sr., Daughter Shaneen Gaona, Granddaughter Crystal Pichette, and Grandson Juan Gaona.
Prayer service Friday, May 11, at 6:00pm. Funeral service Saturday, May 12, at 10:30am . Both services will be held at the Wexliem Community Building.
