I'm so sorry to have missed all of this. She was a great lady and one of my mother's favorite cousins. They are all together again!
What a beautiful service honoring Alyce Mae. We have dear memories of your Mom & Dad, some stories had been told to us by our Mom & Dad(Harry & Merrilee), from their school days in Ferndale to their young married lives. As a child I remember playing at the Carnation building and the house where you lived. Running around without a care in the world. As an adult your Mom n Dad flew to Kauai, for Russell and mine wedding in 1977. Question being was the island of Kauai ready for the women and Harry, Art, Frank, Don, Uncle Elmer, and Uncle Ed. my oh my they had some 'Good Times'. Russell and I felt honored with their attendance. Family is and always will be. Alyce Mae a few years back boarded a Casino Senior Center bus from down south, they had arranged to visit Ferndale on Old Settlers Weekend. She looked us up and we visited for quite a while, in the 'The Beer Garden', she visited the next year again. It was such a treat, yes memories of her will always put a smile and a warm thought in our hearts, and I will dance like no one is watching. God Bless you all and our thoughts and prayers for comfort are with you all
Our Aloha, Russell and Lori Apana
Alyce was a friendly and gregarious person. I always enjoyed talking with her when I would see her at Nancy’s home. I saw her at a casino once having lunch, and she hugged me and introduced me to her bowling buddies as Nancy’s friend. Her biggest love was her family and she would love sharing stories of them and adored them all. She had a wonderful 90th Roaring 20’s Birthday Party with everyone in costume. She lived a long and active life adored and loved by her family and she will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
