My heart aches for all of you knowing how painful it is to lose Dave, dad, grandpa, great grandpa. The memories are many and include his generous heart. My favorite was watching him work with Barb to change the oil in the Volkswagen, both of them in coveralls laying on the ground. Hugs to all of you. Much love.
Dear Nita, Nancy and Family:
I am so sorry about Dave. He was a true gentleman, hardworking, compassionate
and kind. Whenever I think of him, he is always smiling. I feel honored to have known him. God bless you.
My deepest sympathies to the Grinstead family for their loss. Dave was a wonderful presence and it's so sad another from his generation is gone. Sharing in your sorrow. With love and friendship.
We would like to express our deepest sympathy. May those precious memories be foremost in your hearts and minds during this difficult time.
I am so sorry to hear about my uncle. Dave and Nita meant so much to my mom and dad. Dave would visit my dad on a weekly basis toward the end of his life. His kindness and sincere warmth was greatly appreciated. I am so glad i got to visit Dave in the nursing home and share with him. I am thinking alot about my cousins and aunt Nita and know the loss they are feeling. He was a wonderful man and will not be forgotten in many hearts.
I will miss my Dad terribly, I know he had a great life.. I will be here with my Mom so we can transition our lives without him..
He was funny when I was a kid his way (I did not know) to help me learn math and spend time with me, if I wanted to go out or wanted money I would have to play poker, crib, or rummy "win to go out" win to get money...
Also another one of his favorite things were coins, he did plenty but he got a book with the years we were all born put together for all of us..
Last thing is he loved an ice-cream cone and gladly passed that on to me :)
Love ya Opa
