I loved Ed's love of the outdoors, sense of humor, kindness and humbleness. I was thrilled that he liked to read George MacDonald books. He was able to laugh at himself like when he fell in the water at Austyn's baptism. He taught all of us how to shoot. He gave a box of bullets to Micaiah for her birthday one year. ( What better way to spend time with a grand daughter than to have time shooting together?!)p In many ways he demonstrated godly kindness, justice and undeserved mercy. I will always remember him as a Godly man.
Patricia, David, and Mark,
Your dad was a very special believer in the power of prayer and the promises of God. I often spent time with him praying for family and friends. As you know, he also loved outdoor activities such as cutting wood or skiing. I am a better man having spent time with him as briefly, it seems, as I did. The psalmist says our lives are short and then we fly away. May you be comforted in his hone going and encouraged that some day you will join both he and Pat.
May God hold you and your family at this painful moment and give you comfort as you mourn the untimely death of your loved one. May the words of Matthew 5:4 “ Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” bring the entire family comfort and strength. Please accept my sincere condolences.
Ed and I carpooled to work for several years (Arco refinery). I enjoyed his sense of humor and his gentle ways very much.
A friend and brother in the Lord for more then 40 years. Patricia, Mark, and David your dad was a very special person..He never wavered in his faith in Christ and loved having the prayer times together. We will miss him very much.
