We will miss Fred greatly. He was a man of integrity. His word was all you needed…he lived by his word, kindness, gentleness, and a very smart man. Fred and Joann hold a very special part in our lives and adventures. We’re going to miss you Freddie.

It was with great sadness that we read about Fred's passing. Our sincere condolences to the family. Fred " the wood guy" has been delivering firewood to us for about 10 or more years. I can still hear his voice when calling us to say he had a load ready to deliver. What a wonderful man he was. We will remember him always.

Words alone can not express the sorrow of hearing about the loss of a friend like Freddy O. His story's and kindness will be a lasting memory for all that knew him.
This is a tough one for me, as I am sure it is for Fred's family and other close friends. I honestly cannot believe, I will not see him at Rotary tomorrow. Fred was an amazing gentleman and I cherished our friendship dearly. HE told jokes better than most, and would relive memories of he and Dad, so often. He truly never aged, and seemed to find the "good" in people and situations.
He will be missed by many I am sure...but I know I will miss Fred a lot...and my Monday's will not be the same from now on.
Test in peace my friend, and have fun fishing and hunting with my Dad!
We will miss you Fred. We always enjoyed seeing you at the auctions, at garage sales and at other buying opportunities. They were great entertainment for us. Listening to your latest adventures of your fishing trips, your Alaska Gold mine successes, and so on, kept my full attention. Since I was also adopted, we were like my brother. We really miss you big guy.
My thoughts are with the family during this time. Fred and I shared manny conversations about our common interests. Most of the time this was at the west side log yard as I went to cut firewood. He always wanted to know where my next hunt was and and we would share pictures of “ the big one”. I always told people I want to be like Fred. He was a mans man getting after it till the very end. He will be sorely missed.
Dear Joann and family
We are so saddened to hear of Freds passing. Most Mondays I had the pleasure of sitting with him at Rotary.
He was a dedicated man to his family, his friends and his community.
I have known and done business with him for over 40 years.
Elizabeth and I extend our thoughts and prayers for you and your family not only today but for the days to come.
I appreciated his friendship and will miss him.
The world (Whatcom and Skagit county) is a better place because of him
