I was so sorry to hear of Michelle's passing. She was a terrific lady, and I enjoyed getting to know her through her sister-in-law Marni Jones, my stepmom. J'aime & Jason - my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you go through this loss. Sabrina and I will be making a donation to the Bellingham Giving Circle in Michelle's memory, and hope that it can help them continue the great work they are doing. Her huge heart for kids was evident!
Mrs. Small helped raise one of the most important non-family family members in my entire life, her son Jase. I will be forever thankful for that. My love goes out to her family.
We met Michelle and Jaime through Weaver’s Dive Center. Michelle was the dive instructor for both my husband, Cliff, and me. In fact, Michelle certified me in Cozumel and it was quite a challenge for Michelle as I was so terrified. Through her patience and humor she managed to get me through the ordeal, and I was always grateful to Michelle on the many dives I enjoyed later.
Michelle’s beautiful spirit will be missed.
I am so sorry for your loss. Michelle was a wonderful woman and though I did not know her well, I know she touched many, many lives in a very positive way. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!
My sincere condolences to family, and friends. So sorry for your loss!
Having worked with Michelle as the librarian at Skyline High School I will say that Michelle was the best teacher I have ever worked with. Not only could she get her Advanced Placement students fired up to do welll on their placement test, but she had the ability to encourage and bring out the best in students who were not as capable. She made those students believe in themselves, and because of that achieve more than they had thought they could. Not only was she a great English teacher, but when the school needed an art teacher and yearbook sponsor Michelle excelled in those roles also For those of you who did not know Michelle as a teacher I'm sure you have no problem imagining her being a great one.
May the Grace of God give you comfort in your time of grief. Michelle was a beloved member of the BHS class of 1962.
These accomplishments sound exactly like something Michelle would do, She was the best, I remember in High School a lot of us going over to her house to study, she was always the helper and a magnificent human being, rest in peace my friend, you are with God now.
