I used to go to the Cordata Starbucks at its old location, nearly every day. There was always this wonderful older gentleman named Roger, who was also there every day, and he would always sit at the espresso bar. We often chatted and it became apparent to me that not only did I adore him, but he was truly beloved by the staff at this store.
These people all recently transferred over to their newly designed and constructed building (now open for maybe close to a year)- this included Roger, of course. In fact, I mentioned to him just a couple of weeks ago how happy I was to see him there, and that I’m convinced that they included a bar with seating at this new store (not usually available in most of the Starbucks), just for him; he smiled and did not disagree.
Rest In Peace, dearest Roger, and please know how very much you are, and will always be, missed.
Yes, they’re saving his seat for him.
